'It's a natural progression of life': LeAnn Rimes raises issue of her 10lbs weight loss again
By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

'Moving around': The singer, pictured here in August, her busy schedule has caused her to drop the pounds

She may be promoting her new album, but LeAnn Rimes is seizing the opportunity to defend her weight loss.

The 29-year-old addressed the issue of her dramatic transformation when asked about her life in the spotlight.

She raised the topic unprompted, despite recently complaining about the amount of media attention her body has received.

'[When I] was going through a divorce and I couldn't get out of bed... I gained 10 pounds, and then I lost 10 pounds because now I'm moving around and I'm working,' she told the Associated Press.

'I don't stop, and no one sees that [weight loss] actually can happen like naturally. It's a natural progression of life.'

'It has to be some big deal and some issue,' the country star said.
'I'm glad there are people out there that are smarter than that and they don't buy into it.'

In an interview with The Ellen DeGeneres Show last month, Rimes denied she is struggling with an eating disorder.

'[The press has] been very irresponsible [about] calling a lot of people fat or anorexic or bulimic or whatever it may be,' she said.

'It seems like bullying now instead of really taking these diseases seriously that a lot of people are going through.'

The star is currently promoting her 13th studio album, Lady and Gentlemen, which has attracted strong reviews.
