She spoke out recently about her visits to Haiti following last year's devastating earthquake, and her plans to return again next month after her tour is completed. Speaking at the campaign launch last week, Alexandra told how she held a dying baby in her arms while visiting the devastated country.
‘It was heartbreaking to hold this tiny malnourished baby,’ she said.
‘He was really underweight and the doctors were saying he was going to die without any food.
‘Women were giving birth to babies on the floor, in markets, in homes which were nothing more than a tent or even just a sheet.
Doing good: The singer is also busy campaigning for Save The Children and is planning to return to Haiti next month where she plans to open a school
